Learn about your Inflation Reduction Act $10,600 bank account!

As part of the Monadnock Food Co-op’s 2023 Earth Fest, the Monadnock Sustainability Hub is presenting a workshop about home energy savings and electrification incentives available as a result of the 2022 Inflation Reduction Act. The average American can access $10,600 of incentives over the 10+ years of IRA programs’ existences! They cover a myriad of energy projects from home energy audits to solar installations and everything in between. The IRA even helps make electric vehicle purchases more accessible. Come to learn what the IRA adds to existing energy savings programs like NH Saves, what you can do now, and what is in store to roll out in 2024. Energy savings available for all income levels, whether renting or a homeowner. Tax credit programs are active now (and the details of rebate programs are being worked out). Taking advantage of these incentives is key to driving down carbon emissions from the building and transportation sectors. The workshop will take place in the co-op’s conference room adjacent to the cafe seating area.
