Please read the news release from Keene Housing (KH) on the grant from the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation to help improve energy efficiency, lower fuel consumption and carbon emissions at KH apartments.
The grant will fund a solar panel installation and replace inefficient electrical thermal storage units with high efficiency heat pumps. The solar panels and the efficient heat pumps will offset 58% of the energy needs at the Forest View apartments and save KH over $2.5 million over the life of the system.
It is well known that energy efficiency is the best way to spend energy dollars, providing the highest return on dollars invested and reduces carbon emissions. We salute Keene Housing and the NH Charitable Foundation for making this project a reality!
