Virtual Youth Climate Town Hall

April 15, 2020 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

The level of global mobilization underway to contain the Covid-19 crisis must also be applied to solving the existential threat of climate change.  Join 603 Forward, Next Gen NH, New Hampshire Young Democrats, Protect Our Winters Action Fund, and the League of Conservation Voters for a virtual town hall to focus on the urgent need for climate change action and how the COVID-19 crisis elevates following science.

Featured Speakers:

Gary Hirshberg, Stonyfield Organic – climate leadership and business

Abby Levene, Protect Our Winters – turning passion into purpose

Gary Hirshberg is CEO of the Hirshberg Entrepreneurship Institutes and Co-Founder and Chief Organic Optimist of Stonyfield Farm, the world’s leading organic yogurt producer.  The author of Stirring It Up: How to Make Money and Save the World (Hyperion, 2008), Gary frequently speaks on topics including sustainability, organic agriculture and the profitability of green business.  Among his current projects, he is establishing an Organic Entrepreneurship Centre in Motueka, NZ.

Abby Levene is an ultra- runner based in Boulder, CO.  After running circles around a track in college and back and forth on cement roads as a professional triathlete, she could no longer resist the allure of the trails and mountains saturating her home. A highlight of her running life was setting a fastest known time on the Monadnock-Sunapee Greenway to raise awareness for the centrality of land easements in her home state of New Hampshire. Land conservation and climate change action serve as her primary sources of fuel on the trails.
