NH Climate Action Plan Update – Stakeholder Listening Session

January 11 @ 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm

Free
NH Autumn scene

The NH Department of Environmental Services (NHDES) seeks “stakeholder”* input to guide their update to the state’s Climate Action Plan. This session is one of three cross-sector gatherings where people working on greenhouse gas and air pollution reduction efforts, advocates, non-profits, regional and city/town planners, association leaders, etc. can talk together about priorities and projects that are essential elements of New Hampshire’s PCAP (due March 1, 2024) and CCAP (due the following year).

Listening sessions for the department staff to hear from community members are an essential component of NH’s Priority and Comprehensive Climate Action Plans (PCAP and CCAP). These plans are part of the Climate Pollution Reduction Grant funding from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. They lead to implementation funding that will support community-engaged projects with an effort to focus on environmental justice among the sectors of air pollution and greenhouse reductions.

If you have specific questions about the grant funding, reach out to the NH DES CPRG Team at cprg@des.nh.gov.

*Of course we are all stakeholders in Climate Change Action.
