US Department of Energy (DOE) will host a webinar to learn how energy savings performance contracting (ESPC) can bridge gaps in capital funding to modernize school facilities, create healthier learning and working environments, reduce carbon footprints and ongoing costs, and optimize the use of available funds. This webinar will feature an interview with LeeAnn Kittle, Executive Director of Sustainability at Denver Public Schools. LeeAnn will share key lessons learned on what it takes to implement a successful ESPC in K-12 facilities, including technical, financial, and engagement strategies.

Attendees will also learn how eProject eXpress makes it easy for project owners and their Energy Service Companies (ESCOs) to manage project documents, track data, and report on project achievements.

A Monadnock Region example of an ESCO project partner is BlocPower, contracted with the towns of Peterborough and Harrisville. Through support of a federal grant awarded last fall, the project will make residential and commercial building energy upgrades and conversion to efficient heat pump heating and cooling more affordable for their owners, and enable a smoother, accelerated process.
