Community Supported Solar Farmer’s Project Selects – Sun Moon Farm in Rindge, NH for Net-Metering Project

MSN lent its expertise in community supported solar to the Cheshire County Conservation District to bring solar power to local farmers. After presenting a proposal for community supported group net metering to interested farmers at three locations throughout the region earlier this year, Sun Moon Farm in Rindge was selected to host a solar array that will be group net metered to local farms around the Monadnock Region. Interested farmers made an investment and signed up to be part of the group – but don’t worry – if you are a local farmer and want to learn more about the project – there is still slots – contact Amanda Littleton at amanda@cheshireconservation.org.

The CCCD has partnered with ReVision Energy to install the array and ReVision will also bring in local investors to supply the “Community Supported” portion of the project. After a set time period – the farmers can also purchase the array from the investors, and after, collect free energy from the Sun! What a great deal for the farmers, the local investors. MSN is proud to be working with CCCD on this project to help our local farmers thrive.
