Discover sustainability events happening across the Monadnock region.
The Monadnock Sustainability Hub is excited to offer monthly Monadnock Community Power group meetings. These open and interactive meetings are aimed to connect towns that are interested in pursuing Community Power. During these meetings we provide information about the basics of Community Power and discuss specific steps and obstacles of the Community Power process. Because Community Power is uncharted territory for most NH towns and cities, we call on the expertise and experience of the municipalities and leaders who have started to explore the Community Power process for themselves.
We will be holding our third Monadnock Community Power Group meeting on Tuesday November 17th from 4pm to 5:30pm. This next meeting will place a focus on how to form an Community Power Aggregation Committee (CPAC), which is sometimes referred to as an Electric Aggregation Committee (EAC). Essential to pursuing Community Power, an CPAC/ EAC is responsible for conducting research and developing an electric aggregation plan. Our friends from Keene and Harrisville will speak on their individual processes of forming an CPAC/ EAC.
Before we dive into discussing the CPAC/ EAC formation process, we will hold an optional introductory session from 4 – 4:30 pm to cover the basics of Community Power. This will give us a chance to catch new attendees up to speed!
