Solarize Monadnock 2020 is a volunteer-led initiative to increase the number of local homes and small businesses with solar (sometimes referred to as photovoltaic or PV) installations. This year Solarize Monadnock will focus on Keene and Marlborough, but all events are open to all!

The Solarize campaign is partnering with  6  solar installers from the region to offer energy education and streamlined access to information, simplified access to installers’ services, and a chance to speak with local residents about their experience with solar systems on their own home roofs.

Our goal is to double the number of homes with solar installations in Keene and Marlborough. Based on the successes of campaigns in other NH towns over the past 5-6 years, we’re confident this can be achieved. The federal renewable energy tax credit for year 2020 is 26% of the cost of a solar project. If you’ve been thinking about solar for a long time, now is a great time to act! Solar power on your home will provide cost-savings over the long term by reducing the amount of electricity you buy.

The goals of Solarize Monadnock 2020 are supported by the Keene City Council, the Marlborough Selectboard, and the Monadnock Sustainability Network, a 501 c3 organization.
