Discover sustainability events happening across the Monadnock region.
We are partnering with Peterborough Renewable Energy Project for a Clean Energy Fair for adults and families in the Monadnock Region! Learn about building audits, weatherization, electrification of home heating and cooling, electric vehicles (including e-bikes) and electric garden tools. We will offer workshops covering heat pumps and new federal incentives for home energy efficiency, electrification, and electric vehicles. Face-painting for kids!
Indoors you can meet with exhibitors from 17 businesses, non-profits and community groups – plus the organizers, MSH and PREP. The vendors offer building energy audits and weatherization, heating with heat pumps or wood products, and solar installations. Outside talk with a representative of Green Wave Electric Vehicles, our Gold sponsor, which sells exclusively pre-owned EVs, and a local vendor of electric yard and garden equipment – and see what both have brought!
Our non-profit and community groups share information and resources about NH Saves, accessory dwelling units (ADUs), and their work advocating for and creating a clean energy ecosystem in Peterborough, Keene and statewide.
At the Drive/Ride Electric out front, see 14+ different EVs – hatchbacks, sedans, SUVs and light trucks – and talk with their owners. Meet with Chief Brent Wilmot of the Claremont Police Department, showing off their Ford F-150 Lightning, used in patrols and for other police needs. There will be e-bikes, e- mowers and other e-tools on display by their owners, who can answer your questions. The younger kids can ride a small electric John Deere vehicle, and the older “kids” can test drive or ride some of the big EVs!
