NH Consumer Advocate, Don Kries, will make a presentation re: utilities, energy efficiency, energy/fuel costs, etc. here in NH.  Don is the Executive Director of the the Office of the Consumer Advocate and represents the interests of utility customers at the NH Public Utilities Commission (PUC), NH Dept. of Energy, regional bodies such as NEPOOL and ISO New England. Don and his staff carry on the work of the OCA office with a priority to keep rates as low as possible while empowering consumers by encouraging utilities to innovate and adapt. Don has expressed support for maintaining funding for the state’s energy efficiency program, NH Saves, which the PUC tried to cut in 2021. Defenders managed to get the legislature and governor to over-ride the PUC and maintain NH Saves funding at that time, but it appears the PUC may have another go at it in the next 3 year budget that is decided in July. This is likely to be one topic Don addresses.
